ABOUT COUNTRY RAISED BORDOODLES
We are located in Wellington County, just under two hours from the Toronto airport! Our dogs and pups are raised on a beautiful and spacious country property with plenty of room to run and play. Our pups are well socialized with other dogs and receive plenty of attention from friends and family!

Our puppies are raised in an indoor/outdoor area located on our property. Depending on the weather conditions, the facility is air conditioned or heated with plenty of room for our dogs to be exercised indoors when needed. Our nursery, where the puppies are born, is a safe area with heated floors, heat lamps, and a quiet place for them to rest. Soothing music is played throughout the nursery to maintain a calming atmosphere while the puppies adjust to the world around them. We feed high-quality food to all the dogs and puppies and have fresh water available to each of them at all times. Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional dog with a great temperament, a healthy life, and a beautiful demeanour. All of our dogs are DNA and OFA health tested. We ensure each puppy is thoroughly checked by our vet to be sure they are in top health before they join their new families.
Our pups are treated as family and receive only the best care. We have such a great opportunity to meet many new people from across Ontario, and the world. We hope that our pups make a lasting impression on all those who come in contact with them. Anyone who is lucky enough to adopt one of our pups into their family is encouraged to stay in touch with us. We love to receive updates and pictures on how their new family member is doing!
An application is required to be filled out in order to join our waiting list for one of our puppies. We carefully review your application to be sure that our Bordoodles are a good match for your family. Weekly updates are provided to those who are eligible for a particular litter. It is important to us that the homes they go to will value their care and companionship as much as we do!
Carl Kraayenbrink - Owner
I grew up in southern Ontario, Canada on a large 100 acre country property close to Moorefield or Drayton with lots of room to enjoy the outdoors with brothers and sisters, family and friends. My heritage comes from the Netherlands - my grandparents came to Canada after the second world war. I am very proud to have a great Dutch background. I have gone back to see the Netherlands visit relatives etc I have relatives who train police dogs.Dogs are a great pets and a joy to have and never ask questions.
As a kid, we always had at least one family dog which was loved by the entire family! I decided I wanted one of my own and the thought of raising healthy puppies so that others could have the same experience as I did would be a great path to follow. After doing a lot of research, in the spring of 2004, I purchased my very first breeding dog. She was a pure bred yellow Labrador retriever named Cassie; she was such a great dog and we couldn't be happier to have her as our own. We even kept back a puppy from her last litter to live with my parents to this day. He is a big, black Lab with the personality of a teddy bear his mom's gentle temperament.
A few years later I switched a little as I wanted to find a breed that was healthy, happy, friendly and beautiful. To have all of these characteristics in a dog is something that not a lot of people are fortunate to have. I did a lot of research and after talking to other breeders, I finally decided between Bernedoodles and Bordoodles. The Bordoodles became my main interest as they are less common and quite unique and being one of the first known Bordoodle breeders in Canada was very exciting for me. I feel very fortunate to be one of the the first breeders to have started breeding Bordoodles, in Canada, with dogs that originate from such great lines, with beautiful colours, coming from all over the world.
Bordoodles are considered the smartest doodle in the world coming from the two smartest dog breeds - the Border Collie and the Poodle. In 2020, I moved just outside of Palmerston, ON on a large country property with lots of room for the dogs to run and play, including a large, clean pond and pool to swim in on hot days if they choose. With lots of family and friends that come to see and play with the puppies and dogs on a daily bases, there is no lack of proper socialization for them! As you can imagine, it is a lot of fun having dogs and puppies to play with. It definitely makes it easy for people to choose who they are going to visit! I took over a kennel from someone who had been breeding Bernese Mountain Dogs and Golden Retrievers for 35+ years. It was a great joy to continue on from where they left off. I had the pleasure of adopting a few of her dogs into my care. As I mentioned earlier, breeding Bernedoodles was something I had thought about years before so it fit perfectly doing both now that I happily brought on the Bernese. I still do Bordoodles, but adding Bernedoodles and Bernese to my family of wonderful dogs has been such an exciting and fulfilling experience. Caring for these dogs is a passion of mine and I have been thankful to have the help of carefully selected guardian homes. Some of our dogs live in guardian homes where they are cared for well in a family setting and come to visit us when it is time to be bred.
It has been interesting to see how the temperament differences between the large, lazy Bernese, the small, active Border Collie, and the intelligent, loyal poodle brings them all together to result in well-balanced, well-behaved dogs. I believe we have the perfect dog for your family, whether you are active and want a dog who will run and go for walks or a dog that likes to sit around and watch TV with you. Each of our dogs mean a lot to us and we are so happy to have them live here with us. All of our puppies are well socialized - we spend so much time with them that when it's time to go to there new homes they are missed.
As a breeder, I am committed to being there day or night, year round, with answers to questions and anything we can help with - even years after your puppy has joined your family and left ours. I know that everything was created for a purpose and every life matters. I want to take care of every dog and puppy I have to my best of my ability and I only want people taking our puppies home to a place where they will be loved and cared for like we do here. I am happy to chat on the phone or in person and look forward to meeting many great new people in the years to come.
I also want to give God the glory for everything I have and do in life because everything belongs to Him. I'm just here to take care of it and He is the One in control.

My name is Jodie. I am currently on maternity leave as my family and I wait to welcome baby #2 into the world! I will be taking a break from answering inquiries, but Carl will be sure to follow up with you! Pictured from left to right, is my 2 year old daughter Norah, my husband Rob, and myself. In the spring of 2020, Carl hired me to handle the administrative tasks of Country Raised Bordoodles. This has allowed him to spend more time with his dogs and puppies and has made it possible for you to receive prompt and detailed replies regarding our puppies! Carl is a childhood friend of Rob's and believed this to be a good fit. Norah loves to join me while I take pictures of the puppies! We visit often and have learned to love the dogs and pups raised by Carl because of their well-behaved and calm demeanour (especially around a toddler!) I am thankful for this opportunity to learn more about each of these amazing breeds! Each one of them is uniquely created for our enjoyment and companionship. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
